I am a PhD candidate in Social Sciences at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), under the supervision of Professors Ignacio Jurado and Sandra León. Before my PhD, I completed an MPhil in Social Sciences and earned a BA in Political Science and a BA in International Studies at UC3M.

My research studies the political economy of public services and the geography of politics. Substantively, I examine how the type of output a policy delivers —infrastructure rather than spending— and the way its costs and benefits are distributed in space reshape electoral accountability, from the expansion of public services to the local politics of the green transition. Spatially, I ask how place shapes attitudes and grievances, connecting to debates on the urban–rural divide and the geographies of discontent. Methodologically, I employ observational causal inference with large, georeferenced panel data at highly disaggregated levels, and I build original spatial datasets from scratch.

I was part of the GEMPOL research group, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. I also co-founded the PAPERSS seminar series at UC3M. During my PhD, I have been a visiting researcher at the European University Institute (Spring 2025) and the University of Zurich (Spring 2026).
